(670 The Score) The Bulls will host the Hawks in their regular-season opener on Dec. 23 at the United Center, it was announced as the NBA released the first half of its 2020-'21 schedule Friday.
The Bulls and the rest of the NBA are set to play a 72-game season amid the coronavirus pandemic. Because of concerns about how COVID-19 could potentially postpone games and upend the schedule, the NBA only released the first half of the slate. The second half will be released at a later date as the league figures which games need to be made up.
The Bulls' first 37 games, running through March 3, have been released. It includes two trips in which Chicago will play the same foe in back-to-back road games – at Washington on Dec. 29 and Dec. 31 and at Orlando on Feb. 5-6. The NBA did that in an effort to minimize travel a bit.
Below is a look at the Bulls' first half of the schedule. The Bulls will also host the Pacers on Dec. 26 and the Warriors on Dec. 27 as they open the season with three home games. Fans won't be allowed at the United Center early in the season, the Bulls have said.
