(670 The Score) The NBA's trade deadline passed on Thursday afternoon without a deal from the Bulls.
The Bulls (34-21) stand in second place for the Eastern Conference, just a half-game back of the Bucks (35-21) despite injuries to key players like guard Lonzo Ball (knee), guard Alex Caruso (wrist) and forward Patrick Williams (wrist).
"I think it reflects that we like this group," Karnisovas said of the Bulls' decision not to make a deal.
The Bulls could explore players available on the market after contract buyouts, Karnisovas said.
Barring setbacks with their respective injuries, Ball, Caruso and Williams are each expected to return during the regular season, offering the Bulls reinforcements ahead of the postseason in April.
The 20-year-old Williams, who was the Bulls' No. 4 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, was considered to be a potential trade piece for Chicago. But the team "never seriously considered" including him in a deal, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reported.
The Bulls last season made one of the most notable trades at the deadline, acquiring All-Star center Nikola Vucevic in a blockbuster deal with the Magic.
Bulls executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas is expected to address the media on Thursday afternoon.
