(670 The Score) Bulls guard Zach LaVine will be sidelined for another week with right foot soreness, the team announced Friday morning.
Further updates will be provided as appropriate as the team continues to evaluate LaVine's foot. LaVine missed the Bulls' 120-113 win against the Bucks in overtime Thursday due to the foot soreness, which also caused him to exit early from Chicago's loss at Boston on Tuesday. LaVine initially felt discomfort in the foot during a game on Nov. 18.
Thursday marked LaVine's second missed game of the season.
LaVine's absence comes amid a tumultuous time for him and the team. He's struggling in averaging 21.0 points while shooting 44.3%, a pair of figures that are his lowest marks since the 2017-'18 campaign, when he returned midseason after rehabbing a torn ACL. LaVine and his agency have also made it known to the Bulls that he's open to being traded, a development that has turned from a possibility into an inevitability as the team is off to a woeful 6-14 start.
The Bulls host the Pelicans on Saturday, then have games next Wednesday and Friday.
