K.C. Johnson: Bulls' rotation already taking shape

(670 The Score) After the Bulls' additions of veteran guard Jevon Carter and veteran forward Torrey Craig in free agency, the team's rotation is already taking shape, as K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago explained on the Mully & Haugh Show on Thursday morning.

Shooting guard Zach LaVine, small forward DeMar DeRozan and center Nikola Vucevic are cemented in the starting lineup. Patrick Williams seems to have the inside track to start at power forward, though Craig will challenge him for that role and Alex Caruso filled it as well last season. Carter and Coby White will likely compete for the starting point guard role, and the one who comes off the bench will still play big minutes.

However the starting lineup shakes out, the nine-man rotation seems to already have taken shape.

"If you extrapolate out, I don't really see a lot of minutes for Dalen Terry and Julian Phillips for that matter," Johnson said. "Ayo (Dosunmu's) future hasn't been determined yet, but the top nine to me are set in the big three, Torrey Craig, Jevon Carter, Coby White, Alex Caruso, Andre Drummond and Patrick Williams. That's nine right there. Billy Donovan likes to play 10. So maybe Phillips gets some spot minutes or Terry gets some spot minutes, but I don't see a lot of regular-season minutes for either of those guys, but you do want to see some development in Summer League."
