Patrick Williams headlines Bulls' roster for Summer League

The Bulls' first game in Summer League is against the Pelicans on Monday.

(670 The Score) The Bulls on Wednesday released their roster for Summer League action, with second-year forward Patrick Williams being the headline name included.

Williams had long planned to play in Summer League, explaining at exit interviews at season's end that he viewed it as a key to improving this summer. Williams will head to Summer League after participating at Team USA's training camp in Las Vegas in July as a member of the select team, which includes talented young players getting involved in the national team's pipeline.


Other notable names joining Williams on the team's Summer League roster are guard Ayo Dosunmu, big man Marko Simonovic and guard Devon Dotson. The Bulls drafted Dosunmu in the second round last week, while Simonovic was their second-round pick in 2020. Dotson was on a two-way contract for Chicago last season.

Below is a look at the Bulls' schedule for Summer League in Vegas. After four pool-play games, the top two seeded teams from the entire event will meet in the championship game, while the rest will be selected for head-to-head matchups and play a fifth and final game. After record, the tiebreaker to determine the top two teams will be head-to-head (if applicable), then point differential.

Aug. 9: Bulls vs. Pelicans, 2 p.m. CT
Aug. 10: Bulls vs. Spurs, 7 p.m.
Aug. 12: Bulls vs. Timberwolves, 3 p.m.
Aug. 15: Bulls vs. Grizzlies, 9 p.m.

Bulls assistant Damian Cotter will serve as the team's head coach for Summer League.
