Cubs' Anthony Rizzo, Javier Baez win Gold Gloves

It's the fourth such honor of Rizzo's career.

(670 The Score) Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo and shortstop Javier Baez were named Gold Glove winners Tuesday evening.

It was the fourth such honor of Rizzo's career and the first such honor for Baez. Rizzo has won a Gold Glove in each of the last three seasons, and he beat out the Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt and the Giants' Brandon Belt. Baez earned the honor over the Marlins' Miguel Rojas and the Braves' Dansby Swanson.

Rizzo remains the third first baseman in Cubs history to win a Gold Glove, sitting in the company of Mark Grace (1992-'93, 1995-'96) and Derrek Lee (2005, 2007). Baez joined Don Kessinger (1969-'70) and Ernie Banks (1960) as Cubs shortstops to win the award.

Cubs right-hander Kyle Hendricks, right-hander Alec Mills, catcher Willson Contreras, second baseman Nico Hoerner and right field Jason Heyward were also Gold Glove finalists but didn't take home the award.
