(670 The Score) Cubs outfielder Ian Happ exited early from his team's game against the Pirates on Thursday afternoon after awkwardly fouling a ball off the ground and into his own face. He suffered a bruise above his right eye, and X-rays were negative, the team said.
Happ immediately went down in the top of the fourth inning and was seen holding his right eye. He reached across the plate to fight a breaking ball off into the dirt, and it then bounced back toward him.
