(670 The Score) The Cubs have recalled outfielder Ian Miller from their alternate camp in South Bend, they announced Sunday.
He'll be available to play when the Cubs host the White Sox in their series finale at Wrigley Field.
Miller, 28, signed a minor league deal with the Cubs this past offseason. Miller made his MLB debut for the Twins in 2019, when he had 17 plate appearances and played in 12 games. The lefty-swinging Miller is a career .274 hitter in seven minor league seasons with the Mariners and Twins organizations. Miller also brings the speed element, with 243 stolen bases in his minor league career.
In a corresponding move, the Cubs transferred right-hander James Norwood (right shoulder inflammation) to the 45-day injured list.
