(670 The Score) Cubs reliever Ryan Tepera has been suspended three games and manager David Ross has been suspended one for Tepera intentionally throwing at Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff on Tuesday, MLB announced.
Tepera plans to appeal his suspension, the Chicago Tribune reported. Ross will serve his one-game suspension when the Cubs host the Braves on Friday. Both also received fines.
Tensions have been high between the Cubs and Brewers lately, with Chicago particularly upset about Milwaukee continually plunking catcher Willson Contreras.
Tepera has a 3.86 ERA in five appearances this season.
