(670 The Score) No White Sox players lead in the All-Star voting in the first ballot returns, but there are plenty who are in the mix.

First baseman Jose Abreu, third baseman Yoan Moncada and catcher Yasmani Grandal are all in second place in American League voting at their respective positions, while shortstop Tim Anderson checks in third. Second baseman Nick Madrigal and designated hitter Yermin Mercedes are each fourth at their positions.


Abreu has garnered 9% of the vote among AL first basemen, sitting a distant second to the Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who has 51%.

Moncada has drawn 13% of the vote at third base, trailing the Red Sox's Rafael Devers (28%). Grandal has 9%, trailing the Royals' Salvador Perez (43%).

Anderson has 11% of the vote at shortstop, trailing the Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts (31%) and the Blue Jays' Bo Bichette (15%).

The White Sox (41-24) have a 5.5-game lead in the AL Central and hold the second-best record in MLB, trailing only the Rays, whom they host in a series beginning Monday evening.

The MLB All-Star Game will be held July 13 at Coors Field in Denver.
