(670 The Score) If the White Sox's front office decides to sell ahead of the trade deadline on Aug. 1, it sounds like at least part of the clubhouse will be receptive to it.

Several veteran White Sox players have privately expressed to others that they'd welcome a trade out of Chicago, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reported Sunday. None of those players has approached the front office to formally request a trade, Nightengale reported, but given that the White Sox sit at 31-42 through Sunday and continue to struggle, it may be only a matter of time.

The report didn't name the specific players, but right-hander Lucas Giolito, catcher Yasmani Grandal, infielder Elvis Andrus and reliever Reynaldo Lopez are trade candidates as they're in the final year of their contracts. Beyond them, shortstop Tim Anderson could be another trade candidate. He's under contract control through 2024, with a $14-million team option for that season, but he has underperformed and recently expressed ambivalence about his future with the organization.

"It's just one of those things, I understand the business," Anderson said recently on The Pivot Podcast. "If they want to keep me, then cool. If they don't, then cool either way. Yeah, the (contract) numbers are different when it comes to shortstop. I think everybody knows. My time is coming. I'm going to be patient and just continuing to keep working."

Closer Liam Hendriks and reliever Kendall Graveman are also under team control through 2024 and could potentially be moved.
