(670 The Score) The White Sox are getting a key arm back in their bullpen.
Chicago on Tuesday reinstated lefty reliever Garrett Crochet from the injured list following the completion of his rehab from Tommy John surgery, which he had in April 2022. Crochet has posted a 2.82 ERA across parts of two seasons with the White Sox, and he joins the club after recently having six appearances on a rehab assignment at Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte.
"The shapes of all my pitches are basically right where I want it," Crochet said before the White Sox hosted the Guardians on Tuesday evening. "I am comfortable with any role I am asked to be in. I am going to be ready for what they want."
In a corresponding move, Chicago optioned right-hander Nick Padilla to Triple-A. He allowed two earned runs in two innings in his only appearance of the season.
