(670 The Score) Injured White Sox left-hander Carlos Rodon is targeting a return in his team's series against the Toronto Blue Jays from Aug. 23-26.
Rodon landed on the 10-day injured list on Aug. 11 with left shoulder fatigue. He's having a career year, going 9-5 with a 2.38 ERA and 0.96 WHIP in 19 starts.
"I have made a little progress and I am throwing from 90 feet the last couple of days," Rodon said Monday before the White Sox's 5-2 win against the Athletics at Guaranteed Rate Field. "The arm feels good, and my body feels good. Today is a good day."

Rodon had Tommy John surgery in 2019, which cost him most of that season and slowed him in 2020. Rodon has responded well in 2021, making his first All-Star team and becoming a leading figure in the White Sox taking full control of the AL Central.
Rodon has thrown 109 2/3 innings, his highest total since 2018.
"After the Cubs start, I didn't recover quite as well as I thought I should," Rodon said in reference to his Aug. 7 outing in which he threw five scoreless innings. "I want to be at 100% or close to that when I go out and compete.
It was just one of those decisions."
