(670 The Score) The White Sox-Indians game set to be played in Cleveland on Wednesday afternoon has been postponed due to rain.
The teams will make the game up as part of a split doubleheader on Sept. 23. That will create a five-game series between the two teams late in the season. The White Sox (33-22) currently lead the AL Central, sitting 2.5 games ahead of the second-place Indians.
The Indians won two of the three games in their just completed series against the White Sox. The teams split a doubleheader Monday before Cleveland won 6-5 on Tuesday.
The White Sox host the Tigers to open a four-game series at Guaranteed Rate Field on Thursday evening.
