(670 The Score) The White Sox have placed center fielder Luis Robert on the injured list after he reported feeling flu-like symptoms, general manager Rick Hahn said in a statement Tuesday.
"As a precaution, we are placing Robert on the IL until we receive results from further testing," Hahn said. "As was the case earlier this month with Dylan Cease, our hope is that his symptoms resolve quickly and that the testing protocols clear him to return to the active roster soon."
Robert, 23, is hitting .305 with one homer, six RBIs and an .819 OPS in 21 games. The White Sox host the Tigers on Tuesday evening. In a corresponding move, the White Sox added right-hander Alex McRae to their active roster.
