(670 The Score) White Sox television play-by-play broadcaster Jason Benetti of NBC Sports Chicago will miss the team's upcoming broadcasts after testing positive for COVID-19, the club announced Monday.
Benetti is vaccinated and experienced a breakthrough positive case. He's at home in Chicago recovering. Benetti recently called Olympic baseball for NBC.
Mike Monaco will replace Benetti in the booth. Monaco works as a play-by-play announcer for ESPN and the ACC Network.
It's unclear when Benetti will return. On Twitter, he was in good spirits.
