(670 The Score) Right-hander Carson Fulmer will get another opportunity to prove himself with the White Sox.
Chicago recalled Fulmer from Triple-A Charlotte on Monday morning ahead of hosting Tampa Bay in an afternoon contest. Fulmer takes the roster spot of outfielder Ryan Cordell, who was optioned to Triple-A after a loss to Seattle on Sunday.
Fulmer, 25, has struggled mightily in the big leagues, posting a 6.68 ERA in his three-year MLB career. That included an 8.07 ERA and a 1.89 WHIP in nine games, including eight starts, in 2018.
Fulmer had one appearance at Triple-A in the early going, going 2 1/3 innigns and allowing one run on two hits with four strikeouts. The White Sox selected him eighth overall in the 2015 amateur draft.
