(670 The Score) The White Sox have claimed left-hander Josh Osich from the Orioles, they announced Monday afternoon.
Osich, 30, has a career 5.01 ERA in four MLB seasons. He struggled in 2018, posting an 8.25 by allowing 11 earned runs in 12 innings for the Giants.
Osich was designated for assignment by San Francisco on Feb. 12, and Baltimore claimed him a week later before he was again designated for assignment on March 8.
The Giants selected Osich in the sixth round of the 2011 amateur draft.
In a corresponding move Monday, the White Sox placed right-hander Michael Kopech on the 60-day injured list. Kopech will miss all of 2019 after undergoing Tommy John surgery on his right elbow last September.
The White Sox's 40-man roster remains at 40 players.
