(670 The Score) White Sox rookie outfielder Eloy Jimenez on Monday was named the American League Player of the Week, while Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant garnered the same honor in the National League.
Jimenez hit .435 (10-of-23) with three homers, 11 RBIs, six runs and a 1.370 in six games last week. He also became the young White Sox player in franchise history with consecutive four-RBI game.
Jimenez is hitting .259 with 27 homers, 59 RBIs, 60 runs and a .798 OPS in 112 game this season.
Bryant hit .500 (11-of-22) with five homers, 13 RBIs, eight runs and a 1.720 OPS in six games last week. He's hitting .288 with 31 homers, 77 RBIs, 105 runs and a .924 OPS in 140 games in 2019.
