(670 The Score) The White Sox will be well represented at the All-Star Game in Cleveland on July 9.

Right-hander Lucas Giolito, catcher James McCann and first baseman Jose Abreu were all named All-Stars for the American League on Sunday. They were selected through a vote done by the players and with league office consideration after fans voted on the position player starters earlier in the week.

Giolito, 24, has been one of the best pitchers in baseball, as he was 10-2 with a 2.87 ERA and 1.07 WHIP in 15 starts entering play Sunday. His turnaround has been remarkable, as he posted a 6.13 ERA in 2018, the worst mark in baseball for qualifying pitchers. This marks Giolito's first All-Star berth.

McCann's rise has been similarly unexpected. He started the season as the White Sox's backup catcher after hitting .220 with a .581 OPS for the Tigers in 2018. He's since done quality work behind the plate and produced the best he ever has offensively, hitting .320 with nine homers, 27 RBIs and an .897 OPS in 57 games entering Sunday. This is the 29-year-old McCann's first All-Star trip as well.

Abreu, 32, is headed to the All-Star Game for the third time in his career. He was hitting .262 with 19 homers, 60 RBIs and an .809 OPS in 80 games entering Sunday.
