(670 The Score) The White Sox have recalled right-hander Thyago Vieira from Triple-A Charlotte ahead of a game against the Astros on Wednesday.
Vieira, 26, made one appearance for the White Sox earlier this season, throwing two scoreless innings on May 1. He has posted a 3.31 ERA in 13 relief appearances at Triple-A.
He takes the roster spot of right-hander José Ruiz, who was optioned to Triple-A after the White Sox fell to the Astros on Tuesday night.
