Rick Hahn Not Interested In Luis Robert Comparisons

(670 The Score) Will White Sox rookie outfielder Luis Robert become baseball's next Mike Trout?

White Sox general manager Rick Hahn isn't interested in forecasting Robert's future against that of a superstar.

"The comps are what they are," Hahn said Thursday. "They're exciting. They're fun to do. But in the end, we just want him to be Luis Robert. Because we think he has a chance to be pretty special."

What's clear ahead of of the White Sox's season opener is that the Robert hype is growing by the minute. The 22-year-old Robert is the favorite to win American League Rookie of the Year, and one sports book gives him the ninth-best odds to win the AL MVP award.

Robert posted a slash line of .333/.394/.567 over 33 plate appearances in spring training and summer camp. He's set to start in center field when the White Sox host the Twins at 7:10 p.m. at Guaranteed Rate Field in their opener Friday night.
