(670 The Score) The benches cleared in the bottom of the sixth inning of the White Sox-Royals game at Guaranteed Rate Field on Wednesday afternoon after Chicago shortstop Tim Anderson was hit by a pitch from Kansas City right-hander Brad Keller.

The hit by pitch was in retaliation for Anderson celebrating a two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning by excitedly tossing his bat and celebrating during his trip around the bases. Anderson and Keller were both ejected.

In the ensuing fracas in the sixth inning, there was plenty of pushing but no punches thrown. It also included White Sox manager Rick Renteria and Royals manager Ned Yost getting into one another's faces and exchanging heated words. Renteria was ejected for his role.
