Chicago inked shortstop Yolbert Sanchez and shortstop Elijah Tatis to contracts for 2019 and right-hander Cristian Mena, third baseman Wilfred Veras and right-hander Erick Bello to contracts for the 2020 season.
Sanchez, 22, hit .297 with one homer, 36 RBIs and 58 runs in 128 games over three seasons in the Cuba Serie Nacional from 2015-'18.
Tatis, 17, is the son of former big leaguer Fernando Tatis Sr. and the younger brother of current Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr., who was once in the White Sox's organization. Tatis is from Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic
Mena, 16, is from San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic.
Veras, 16, is from San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic. Bello, 16, is also from San Pedro de Macorís.
