(670 The Score) The White Sox-Tigers game at Guaranteed Rate Field on Tuesday evening was postponed due to rain.
The game will be made up as part of a straight doubleheader on Sept. 27. The first game that day will begin at 3:40 p.m.
It marked the third White Sox-Tigers game to be postponed this season. The teams will play a doubleheader Wednesday, with the first game set for 1:10 p.m. and White Sox top pitching prospect Dylan Cease scheduled to make his MLB debut. The teams also are set to play a split doubleheader in Detroit on Aug. 6.
Fans with tickets to the originally scheduled Sept. 27 game can attend both games that day. Tickets to the postponed game Tuesday can't be used for the Sept. 27 doubleheader unless they're exchanged at the box office prior to entry. Fans can also apply the value of those tickets to any future White Sox regular-season home game.
