(670 The Score) White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson will donate $500 to anti-violence initiatives for every stolen base he records this season, he announced Wednesday.
Anderson is putting the money toward his League of Leaders program and encouraging others to donate as well. The goal of the League of Leaders program is to "build leadership skills in youth affected by violence," and Anderson started the non-profit in memory of his best friend, Branden Moss, who was shot and killed in 2017.
Anderson has an MLB-leading 12 steals this season.
