(670 The Score) White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson has been named the American League Player of the Month for April.
Anderson hit an AL-best .375 in March/April, adding five doubles, six homers, 18 RBIs, 21 runs and 10 steals (most in MLB) in 23 games. He also had a 1.009 OPS, which ranked 10th in baseball.
Anderson was the only MLB players to hit five or more homers and steal 10 bases. He's the first White Sox player to earn an AL Player of the Month honor since first baseman Jose Abreu did so in July 2014. He's also the first White Sox middle infielder in franchise history to earn the honor.
