(670 The Score) White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday.
Anderson has been sidelined with a right ankle sprain since June 25. His belief is he can return to big league action in a week or two, he said Monday.
"It's going to be determined on how he's feeling and how things are going along," manager Rick Renteria said of Anderson's timeline for a return. "But right now, everything's positive to this point.
Anderson is hitting .317 with 11 homers, 37 RBIs and an .833 OPS in 72 games this season.
