The unprecedented 2022 NFL season will conclude in mid-February with the 56th installment of the iconic Super Bowl.
The first 17-game regular season in league history pushed the big game back one week, from its customary place on the first Sunday of the year's shortest month.
This season marks the addition of a new venue to the rotation of Super Bowl sites, with Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium, the home of both the Rams and Chargers, playing host.

Super Bowl LVI will air on NBC. The game will also be available for streaming on NBC's Peacock app and the NBC Sports app.
NBC is part of a Super Bowl broadcast rotation, along with FOX, CBS and ABC, which in 2021 reached a deal to return after a long hiatus.
Halftime show
Los Angeles hip-hop legends Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar will be joined by fellow headliners Mary J. Blige and Eminem for the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show.
Announcers
Play-by-play veteran Al Michaels and color analyst Cris Collinsworth will be on the call for NBC.
The game could be Michaels' last with NBC, with the broadcasting legend's contract set to expire at season's end. Longtime sideline reporter Michele Tafoya will also be leaving the network after the game, as NBC confirmed last month.
