Antonio Brown infamously walked out on this team at the end of the regular season after complaining of an ankle injury, one he says Tampa Bay Bucs coach Bruce Arians ignored.
Brown has since expressed a desire to return to a team that is willing to have him, even after multiple on and off field incidents that go back to his days in Pittsburgh.
Talking to TMZ Sports, Brown says he won’t get his ankle repaired until he signs with a new team.
"It's a lot for a guy to go do surgery without an idea of where you gonna work, or who you going to work for," said Brown.
Brown still believes that the Bucs “manipulated him” and that he would never go back to play for Tom Brady in Tampa Bay. But maybe he’ll change his mind now that Bruce Arians has retired as head coach.
Even though he’s won a Super Bowl, Brown says he’s still got a lot left to prove on the field and that his playing days are not over.
“I would love to continue my career. I got a lot of game left in me."
If another team does sign him, it would be his fifth chance in the league after falling out with the Steelers, Raiders, Patriots and Bucs.
