Despite the Cincinnati Bengals losing to the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI, second-year wideout Tee Higgins had a fantastic game. However, one fan complained about Higgins on Twitter, not for his performance, but because he cost him nearly $2,000.

While Higgins had a great game, he did drop an easy touchdown in the first half which angered Bengals fans. One user on Twitter focused his anger not on what the play could have done for Cincinnati, but what it could have done for the bet he placed. The fan said if Higgins was able to catch that touchdown, he would have won his prop bet and would've been able to purchase a new gaming PC on Monday. Higgins caught wind of the fans' tweet and had a hilariously funny and trolly response.
"Damn… sorry to hear that! You wanna lose in madden too?" Higgins said on Twitter with nearly 80K likes at the time of this article.
The bet in question was a $20 prop play, which needed Odell Beckham to score the first touchdown of the game and Higgins score the second. OBJ did score the opening touchdown, but it was eventual Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp who scored the second one.
Cincinnati held a 20-16 lead heading into the fourth quarter until Matthew Stafford threw a touchdown to Kupp on a penalty-riddled, 19-play drive, giving them a 23-20 lead. All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald then sealed the Bengals' faith on their last drive, forcing an incompletion on fourth down.
While I'm all for sports betting, getting mad at an athlete because you lost a prop bet is probably the furthest thing on Higgins' mind. I guess this is just a lesson to sports bettors, don't tag an athlete unless you don't mind getting roasted.
