Three running backs in NFL history had/have the last name "Gore." Entering Monday night, one of them had zero carries. One of them had eight carries. And one of them had 3,735 carries.
Interestingly enough, the one who was in the spotlight on in the Giants-Chiefs game was the one who had yet to record a single carry in his entire career... but Michael Strahan didn't seem all that aware of that fact.

26-year-old Derrick Gore found the end zone for the Chiefs halfway through the second quarter, putting the finishing touches on an impressive drive in which he picked up 41 yards. The only issue was that Michael Strahan apparently wasn't aware that the 2019 undrafted rookie was on the roster, questioning which Gore it was.
As Barstool Sports' caption to the video indicates, the majority of the NFL Twitter community wasn't aware of Derrick Gore either, likely looking up who the Chiefs' No. 40 was at some point in his awesome drive. Frank Gore playing in the NFL wouldn't be the craziest thing in the world, seeing as he played in 15 games last season and logged well over 200 games throughout his Hall of Fame career. Adding the fact that Adrian Peterson just signed a deal with the Tennessee Titans to replace the injured Derrick Henry, a veteran presence at running back wouldn't come as the biggest shock.

And, no, Derrick Gore isn't some alias for Frank.
Oh, and who was the third Gore I mentioned at the start of this story? Former running back Gordon Gore, obviously, who played in seven games for the 1939 Detroit Lions. Duh.
