DJ Moore believes the Bears can hang around with anyone in the NFC North.
The Lions took hold of the division to begin the season, but have since come back down to earth and seen their grip loosen. Chicago made a statement against the North leaders Sunday with a convincing 28-13 win, a victory in which the Bears blanked Jared Goff and the Lions offense in the second half en route to their fifth win of the season.
It was not long ago that the Bears threatening for a playoff spot seemed far-fetched. Make no mistake, a lot of things still have to go their way to end up in the postseason. But they’re 2-3 in divisional games with one more meeting against the Packers still to go, and are not far off from the cluster of six- and seven-win teams that are vying for the last two wild card spots.
Moore said Monday in his weekly appearance on the Mully & Haugh Show that he believes the Bears just as good as any team in their division.
“For sure, there would be no reason not to. Right now, what are we, 2-3 in the division,” Moore said. “We feel pretty good, by the end hopefully we’ll be 3-3 in the division, and like I said, our plan is to win out.
“We’re just going to take it one game at a time and hopefully the chips fall where we want to on the side of being 9-8 at the end of the season and making that run.”
