Police are investigating the assault allegations leveled against Mahomes by Aspen Vaughn, the owners of Aspen's Restaurant and Lounge in Overland Park, Kansas, the Kansas City Star reported on Saturday.

Security footage from Vaughn's office appears to show Mahomes kissing the 40-year-old Vaughn twice after grabbing her by the neck and head.

Vaughn told The Star that Mahomes "forcibly kissed me out of nowhere. And I'm telling him, pushing him off, saying 'what are you doing?'

"Then, he proceeded to do it two more times, where the last time I was pushing him off, and I can see on the cameras that somebody was outside the office door, and I was yelling for them to come help because he's big and massive.

Vaughn said she told Mahomes that his actions were "disgusting."

"'You're a child,' and he was trying to say 'We should be a power couple,' and I'm like, 'Clearly you're out of your mind right now.'"

Mahomes is also accused of shoving a teenage waiter multiple times and barring the waiter's entry into Vaughn's office.

A lawyer for Mahomes denied the allegations.

"Jackson has done nothing wrong," the attorney told The Star. "Our investigation has revealed substantial evidence refuting the claims of Jackson's accuser, including the statements of several witnesses.

"We have reached out to law enforcement to provide the fruit of our investigation, so that they may have a complete picture of the matter."

Mahomes is often seen at his brother's games, and is prominent on social media, particularly TikTok.

He's had brushes with controversy in the past, including when he apologized for dancing on a memorial for the late Sean Taylor at FedEx Field in 2021, and for dumping water on Ravens fans at M&T Bank Stadium in 2021.

In a similar incident to what appeared to transpire last month, Mahomes was rebuffed when he tried to forcibly kiss a woman at a shopping mall in Las Vegas during the Pro Bowl in February 2022.
