Rex Ryan was an absolute star on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” in 2010 as head coach of the Jets and now he’s making his way back into the reality TV sphere.
The former NFL head coach will compete in the upcoming season of CBS’ “The Amazing Race,” in which he and a partner will compete against others in a race around the world with different challenges in different locations. The first team to reach the final destination wins $1 million.

But some of Ryan’s former colleagues are not so confident he will win the million.
Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, whom Ryan was a defensive coordinator for in 2008, was asked about it on Thursday.
“I think he’s going to get lost,” Harbaugh said.
It would certainly make for good television if that were the case, but maybe Ryan’s partner — golf buddy and 40-year-old probation officer Tim Mann — can guide them in the right direction, literally, when it comes to getting to their next destinations.
Ryan, 59, has not coached in the NFL since he was with the Buffalo Bills in 2016 and has spent the last few years as an analyst with ESPN’s “NFL Sunday Night Countdown.”
The new season premieres on Sept. 21, but it was filmed earlier this year so Ryan will continue to be with ESPN for the football season.
