One Shining Moment is within sight! The brackets are in! The Men's NCAA Tournament is here and Kevin Sheehan and Denton Day are getting ready to survey the carnage of the upsets from around the conference tournaments knocked out bubble teams, but still saw a so-so Virginia team make the big dance.
Did anybody local make the Big Dance? Well, the Terps of Maryland, the Hoyas of Georetown, the Revolution at George Washington, the Patriots of George Mason, the Eagles of American all missed out. But for the second-straight season, the Bison of Howard are IN!
Howard won the Mid-Eastern Athletic Tournament and will face off against Wagner in the First-Four play-in on Tuesday for the right to play North Carolina, the top-seed in the West Region.
On the Women's side, Maryland made it as a No. 10 seed and will play Iowa State with the winner getting No. 2 Stanford or No. 15 Norfolk State.
