NBA superstar LeBron James took to social media to urge his followers to vote for the Democratic ticket in Tuesday's elections.

James, who this year launched a voter registration and turnout initiative with other star athletes including Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs, posted a graphic of presidential candidate Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris on Instagram.

The Monday night post was captioned with a Biden-Harris hashtag as well as one referencing More Than a Vote, the registration initiative.

"One more day. Please [vote]!! We need EVERYTHING to change and it all starts tomorrow. #BidenHarris #MoreThanaVote"

James has endorsed Democratic Party candidates in the past, having thrown his weight behind 2016 presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, as well as backing President Obama's re-election bid in 2012. His More Than a Vote campaign has worked with prominent Democrats, including Obama.

Obama meanwhile reportedly spoke with NBA players including James and Chris Paul when it appeared a large-scale strike could be in the works, and encouraged them to finish out the resumed season.

James' endorsement of Biden came just hours after President Trump renewed their feud at a rally at Scranton-Wilkes Barre Airport in Avoca, Pennsylvania, prompting a "LeBron James sucks" chant to break out among the crowd.

Trump, speaking about the NBA during the rally, said "he felt badly for LeBron" because ratings were "down 71%" for the Finals.

"I didn't want to watch one shot," Trump said, referring to players kneeling during the playing of the national anthem.

Trump had previously called James a "hater" and a "very nasty spokesman" for the Democratic Party while campaigning last month.

James in August suggested Trump's views on the NBA were irrelevant, in response to the president's criticism of player protests.

The four-time league MVP called Trump a "bum" on social media in 2017 amid the president's feud with the Golden State Warriors over whether they would attend a congratulatory party at the White House after winning the NBA title.

Trump recently scored the endorsements of sports greats including Brett Favre, Jack Nicklaus and John Daly.
