Jim McIngvale, or the man better known as “Mattress Mack” to the gambling community, is back with a bang for Super Bowl LV.
McIngvale, the Houston furniture mogul, flew to Colorado Springs last night to place $3.46 million on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. McIngvale broke his bet up into two wagers and placed them with DraftKings Sportsbook.
His bet is currently the largest wager made for this year’s Super Bowl. Last week, a bettor placed a $2.3 million wager with BetMGM on the same bet, Bucs +3.5 (Track all Super Bowl LV big bets here). Apparently big bettors are buying into the "Don't bet against Tom Brady in the Super Bowl" narrative.
Last year, McIngvale also bet $1 million against Kansas City in the Super Bowl. Patrick Mahomes led a late comeback to sink his wager and the San Francisco 49ers.

What’s wild is that Mack’s bet is not the largest Super Bowl bet of all time. Famous gambler Billy Walters holds that honor. Walters won $3.5 million on Super Bowl XLIV after betting on the New Orleans Saints (+5.5) in 2010. The Saints won that game outright, defeating the Indianapolis Colts, 31-17.
There are still a few days left to see if anyone tops Mattress Mack for the largest Super Bowl wager. But odds are $3.46 million will be the biggest single bet placed on Super Bowl LV.
