Washington Nationals third baseman Lucius Fox was not feeling too well on Sunday afternoon.

Two pitches into Sunday’s game against the San Francisco Giants, Fox appeared to try and get off the field before stopping behind the pitcher’s mound where he proceeded to vomit all over the field.

A Nationals trainer came out to help Fox leave the game and he did not return as he went back to the locker room to deal with whatever it was he was experiencing.

First baseman Riley Adams replaced Fox’s spot in the lineup while Maikel Franco moved from first to third.

The vomit delay did not seem to faze Giants leadoff hitter Joc Pederson, though, who put San Francisco on the board with a home run just two pitches later.

It did lead to quite a few jokes on social media, though, some at the Nats’ expense.
