David Cone threw a perfect game against the Montreal Expos on July 18, 1999, the last perfect game thrown by a Yankee…until Wednesday night, when Domingo German did it against the Oakland Athletics.

And when he did, the Yankees and the Expos got linked again: Oakland had the longest streak of not being no-hit, their last no-hitter or perfect game against coming back on July 13, 1991, a combined one done by the Baltimore Orioles.

The new owner of the longest streak? Well, technically the Washington Nationals, whose last time being no-hit or perfect against was... never since they moved to D.C. and the 'franchise' was that David Cone July 18, 1999 perfecto against Montreal.

In that span, Washington pitchers have tossed three no-hitters of their own: Jordan Zimmerman in Sept. 2014, Max Scherzer in June 2015, and then Scherzer again in October of the same year.

A team representing Washinton hasn't been no-hit since Sonny Siebert of Cleveland blanked the Senators on June 10, 1966.

Congrats, Nats!
