Nationals-Rockies opener postponed due to snow, Saturday's game time moved back

Welcome to ‘spring’ in Denver…where it snows heavily enough to cancel sports!

Friday’s series opener between the Nationals and Rockies was postponed about eight hours ahead of scheduled first pitch because of inclement weather…said weather being a snowstorm that is expected to bring up to three inches of snow to the area through Saturday morning.

The Rockies have also moved Saturday’s start time back an hour to 4:10 p.m. ET), and Friday’s game will be made up as the second game of a split doubleheader, with Game 1 still at 3:10 p.m. ET and Game 2 set for 9:10 p.m.
ET with the debut of this year’s Rockies City Connect jerseys.

All games will air on 106.7 The Fan.

The kicker to all of this? Sunday’s forecast high temperature in Denver is in the mid-60s, meaning any remnants of what they may see even at first pitch Saturday will be long gone by Sunday night.
