Nets owner Joe Tsai took to Twitter late Friday night to make it known that he does not agree with Kyrie Irving’s promotion of an antisemitic film, after the star point guard tweeted a link to a 2018 film, “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America.”
As first reported by Rolling Stone, the film, based on a book by Ronald Dalton, is “stuffed with antisemitic tropes,” and Irving’s sharing of the link to the film comes shortly after Kanye West being banned from Twitter for antisemitic posts.

“I’m disappointed that Kyrie appears to support a film based on a book full of anti-semitic disinformation,” Tsai tweeted. “I want to sit down and make sure he understands this is hurtful to all of us, and as a man of faith, it is wrong to promote hate based on race, ethnicity or religion.
“This is bigger than basketball.”
Irving has not commented on his decision to promote the video, but the Nets are back in action against the Pacers on Saturday night.
