Bill Belichick is now 72 and, before parting ways with the Pats this week, spent nearly 50 years in the NFL and won 302 games over 28 seasons, 266 of those with the Pats – the second-most by one coach with any one team behind only George Halas – in a 23-year career where he won six Super Bowls, nine AFC Titles, and 17 AFC East crowns.

Nick Saban, also 72 years old like Bill, spent nearly 50 years in coaching and 28 of those as a collegiate head coach, and is arguably the greatest NCAA HC ever. He was 9-2 at Toledo in 1990 before becoming Browns DC for four years, but upon his return to college he was 34-24-1 in five seasons at Michigan State and 48-16 with a national title in five years at LSU. That led to two seasons as Dolphins HC, before he went back to the SEC and led Alabama to a 201-29 record, six Natties, and nine title game apparances over 17 seasons before retiring this week.

One in the pros, one in the preps…but which one is the true GOAT? That was quite a discussion that Kevin Sheehan and Denton Day had on Friday’s Kevin Sheehan Show!
