The Nets scored a surprisingly easy win over the 76ers on Thursday night, in the first game between the teams since the blockbuster deal that saw them swap a pair of All-Stars in Ben Simmons and James Harden.
Simmons did not suit up while he continues to ramp up his basketball conditioning and nurse a sore back. But Philly fans turned out to let him hear it anyway, and they booed him mercilessly during warmups and throughout the game while he cheered on his new teammates from the bench.
But Simmons and the Nets had the last laugh -- and so did social media.
