After going through the NFL, JB determined that the Commanders are one of four teams that meet the criteria to be on HBO’s Hard Knocks this year.
But while the Junkies believe Washington has a case to be compelling TV, they agree that there is a clear superior option for the NFL in the Jets, who have Aaron Rodgers at quarterback and a season with Super Bowl hopes.
“Not as intriguing as the Jets, but you still have a new quarterback, the Chase Young deal,” Cakes said. “The Commanders would be easy because they’re in ownership turmoil…but what hurts the Commanders is that they’ve been so bad for so long, there’s not much interest.
“You’re gonna get no pushback from the Commanders. The inmates are running the asylum over there.”
Still, Rodgers rules in the NFL.
“I think it’s a done deal. I think it’s the Jets.”
