The Philadelphia 76ers fired head coach Doc Rivers on Tuesday, ending a tenure that saw Doc take over after the NBA bubble and lead a team that had gone to two of the last three conference semifinals…well, to three straight conference semis, but never beyond.
“The Process” has now yielded six straight winning seasons but not even one trip to the NBA Final Four, and both Rivers and predecessor Brett Brown being shown the door shows expectations are higher.
Could that, then, say something about how Josh Harris will run the Commanders? The Devils have gone through a similar rebuild as well, a decade of mostly futility finally bringing their first playoff series win since the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals – and if that’s the kind of return to glory the Commanders can expect, is that a good thing?
Chris Russell broke it all down in the first hour of Tuesday’s show – take a listen!
