The full NFL schedule is not going to be released until Thursday, but we know one of the Commanders’ 18 weeks for sure now: they will play Indianapolis at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, October 4.

The team and the NFL confirmed that Wednesday morning as the nine games on the NFL’s international slate were revealed.

This marks the second straight year both the Commanders and Colts will play in Europe, as Washington lost to Miami in Madrid last fall, while the Colts beat Atlanta in Berlin.

It also officially marks the third overall Commanders game overseas, as prior to last season’s game in Madrid, they had also played the Bengals to a 27-27 tie in London’s Wembley Stadium in 2016.

It is likely that the Commanders’ bye week will come right after said trip, meaning a Week 5 bye after multiple straight seasons of byes closer to the end, but the full official schedule will be revealed on Thursday.
