Commanders, entire NFC East to be featured on 2025 Hard Knocks: In Season

Hard Knocks is coming to DC…and Dallas, Philly, and East Rutherford!

Indeed, as the NFL announced Wednesday that the 2025 edition of Hard Knocks: In Season will feature the entire NFC East, and that will premiere in December on HBO and HBO Max.

The Buffalo Bills were selected for the regular preseason edition, which will premiere in August, and they are eligible after the NFL eliminated the rule that allowed teams who have made the playoffs the last two years to opt out – and they do not fit any of the current criteria otherwise to be ineligible.

The AFC North was the subject of Hard Knocks: In Season in 2024, so now, the NFC East becomes the second full slate of teams selected to be featured.

“We are thrilled to provide ‘Hard Knocks’ fans a summer with the Bills and winter with the Cowboys, Giants, Commanders and Eagles in the first year of our exciting new deal with NFL Films,” said Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller, co-executive vice presidents HBO Documentary and Family Programming, and Bentley Weiner, senior vice president HBO Sports Documentaries, in the outlet’s release. “There will be no shortage of star power.”

This will be the first appearance in any iteration of the Hard Knocks franchise for both Washington and Philly, as well as Buffalo. Dallas has been featured three times in the preseason original, appearing in 2002, 2008, and 2021, while the Giants were the subject of the first offseason edition in 2024.
