K.J. Henry, an edge rusher out of Clemson, is one of the newest members of the Commanders after being taken in the fifth round, and he joined The Sports Junkies on Monday to talk about his journey to Washington, and the nervousness of waiting for that phone to ring.
A former captain with the Tigers, Henry hopes to bring a sense of leadership to a Commanders defense that was given plenty of attention at the draft, and should be better than the already stingy group that it was last season.
Henry talked about the decision to play an extra season in Clemson to prove his health, seeing multiple college teammates get picked ahead of him in the draft, and what lies ahead for him this spring to get acclimated with the Commanders and prepare for his rookie season.
