Commanders set initial 53-man roster for 2024
The NFL roster cut deadline has come and gone and the Commanders' official initial 53-man roster is set.
Shortly after the 4 p.m. Tuesday deadline, the Commanders announced that they have placed LB Jordan Magee, DE Norell Pollard, and DT Taylor Stallworth on the Injured Reserve List and DE Efe Obada on the Reserve/PUP List, and released the following 34 players:

-WRs Kaz Allen, Martavis Bryant, Davion Davis, Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, Brycen Tremaine, Mitchell Tinsley

-OLs Braeden Daniels, Julian Good-Jones, David Nwaogwugwu, Ricky Stromberg, Armani Taylor-Prioleau, Cameron Tom
-DEs Jalen Harris, K.J. Henry, Justin Hollins, Andre Jones Jr.
-DTs Haggai Ndubuisi, Benning Potoa'e
-LBs Anthony Pittman, Chapelle Russell
-CBs Chigozie Anusiem, Tariq Castro-Fields, Kyu Blu Kelly, James Pierre, Nick Whiteside II, AJ Woods

Per multiple reports, Magee's IR stint is designated to return, as is Stallworth's, and Stromberg was waived with an injury settlement. And with that all, this is the Commanders' initial 53-man roster.
Among roster notes:
-Jeff Driskel was kept as a third QB, Jeremy McNichols made the team as the third and final RB, Colson Yankof was kept over Turner as a fourth TE, and the Commanders' six receivers included Jamison Crowder and recently re-signed Byron Pringle
-Nine offensive linemen were kept, with Michael Deiter making it as the ninth lineman and backup center, and Brandon Coleman and Nick Allegretti listed as the starters on the left side
-Phidarian Mathis and John Ridgeway, who were apparently available in trades, made the team as the fourth and fifth DTs, while Jamin Davis is now listed as a DE, and of the five linebackers that made it, edge rusher Dante Fowler Jr. and safety Dominique Hampton are listed in that group
-Of the 11 defensive backs, five are corners and six are safeties, with Quan Martin listed as a starter and Jeremy Reaves listed as mostly on special teams
The other note of the roster: six of the 34 cuts were Ron Rivera draft picks, including five from last year's draft class, meaning just 12 of 33 Rivera era picks are left on the roster.
